Nasomatto Narcotic V (Narcotic Venus) is a 30ml extrait de parfum for women, launched in 2007 and created by perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri. It is a concentrated white floral fragrance built around tuberose, jasmine, and lily, with musky and woody undertones, designed for bold white floral enthusiasts seeking powerful sillage and longevity. The bottle features a zebrawood cap and Italian packaging; user reviews note its intense, lasting projection (about 8 hours) and a jasmine note described as both pure and skanky, though some find it soapy and similar to other white florals.

Product Insights

Narcotic Venus is a deliberately loud, artistic 2007 extrait from NASOMATTO, still produced with its formula untouched, positioned as a complete dedication to femininity and a counterpart to Duro. Its core promise is a creamy-carnal tuberose built on natural lactones, indole, and methyl benzoate, with an intentionally indolic jasmine that reads skanky or soapy depending on skin chemistry—so sampling is essential. One spray fills a room and lasts 8–12 hours, making the A$308 bottle (about 450 sprays) surprisingly economical at A$0.70–1.40 per wear, but the scent is too strong for offices or extreme heat and best reserved for warm evenings. The experience is deliberately linear, opening with a brighter methyl benzoate note before settling into a gentle, slightly stemmy drydown; orange discoloration is normal and does not affect quality. Buyers are split between adoration and soapiness, yet Luckyscent calls it one of very few absolute mankillers, and no comparable clone exists. Crafted with a handmade wild-zebrawood cap that is decorative and unique, it stands as an artistic rebellion—opposite the green realism of Carnal Flower, for those who find most tuberoses too polite.

Verified claims

Composition
The creamy-carnal body is natural tuberose chemistry — gamma/delta-lactones, ~1–2% indole, and methyl benzoate.
Longevity
One spray lasts 8–12 hours on skin, grounded in tuberose's 304-hour blotter substantivity.
Value
The A$308 bottle delivers ~450 sprays — about A$0.70–1.40 per wear at the 1–2 spray dose.
Juice discoloration
Orange discoloration is normal for tuberose extraits and does not alter scent quality or performance.
Provenance
Narcotic V is the 2007 extrait formerly sold as Narcotic Venus, still in production with the formula untouched.
Material transparency
No ingredient list is published — the natural-versus-synthetic status of the tuberose is deliberately undisclosed.
Skin chemistry
The jasmine note can read as skanky or soapy depending on the wearer's skin chemistry; sampling recommended.
Skanky jasmine
The jasmine is intentionally indolic — fleshy, overripe, animalic — not a defect.
Cost per wear
At A$308, the 30ml bottle lasts 225-450 wears at 1-2 sprays each.
Carnal Flower comparison
Sweet-candied, intensely strong — opposite Carnal Flower's green hothouse realism.
Mankiller status
Luckyscent labels it one of very few absolute, total mankillers.
Clone alternatives
No clone of comparable quality is known.
Positioning
A founding 2007 extrait, still in production with a cult niche following — deliberately loud, for those who find most tuberoses too polite.
Performance
Buyers report one spray fills a room and lasts 8+ hours.
Dosing
Use 1–2 sprays max; overspray quickly overwhelms.
Occasion
Best for warm evenings; too strong for office or extreme heat.
Artistic rebellion
A founding 2007 extrait from the Crazy Nose house — art, not a market brief.
Feminine counterpart
Explicit feminine counterpart to Duro — a complete dedication to femininity.
Cap material
Wild zebrawood cap, hand-made and one-of-a-kind; Duro's is wenge.
Packaging continuity
The renamed bottle keeps the 2007 square glass and wild zebrawood cap — same launch presentation.
Cap concept
Each wild-zebrawood cap is unique and symbolizes female seduction
Craftsmanship
Handmade wild-zebrawood cap; packaging made entirely in Italy
Cap function
Zebrawood cap is decorative; it does not affect juice or maceration
Scent evolution
Deliberately linear: the white-floral heart arrives immediately and the drydown is only a gentle diminishment.
Opening
First minute is brighter and sharper: methyl benzoate, then creamy lactonic tuberose.
Green stem edge
The drydown adds only a tiny green, stemmy hint as the florals fade.
Climate suitability
Blooms in warm weather but can be cloying in extreme heat; best for cool evenings and air-conditioned settings.
Concentration
Extrait de parfum, the densest concentration tier; 20–40% oil load is an industry benchmark, not a published figure.
Material sourcing
Wild zebrawood cap comes from African or Central American rainforests; the monguba note traces to Brazil.
Audience
Buyer opinions split: floral lovers adore it, others find it soapy — sampling advised.

  • Narcotic Venus lives up to the hype with beast mode projection and skanky jasmine

I have narcotic venus, and it fully lives up to the hype. Super pure, but somehow skanky, Jasmine. Projection is beast mode, lasts a good 8 hours on skin. It really sings in warm weather. If sirens wore perfume, they would wear this.

  • Narcotic Venus is very strong and similar to other white florals; sample first

I have tried quite a few from nasomatto. I like Baroanda the best. It’s kind of boozy but in a more sweet (non gourmand) way. Narcotic Venus is very strong. You have to enjoy bold white florals to love it. I have it and didn’t love it but decanted it a bunch for friends and family. I’m not a white floral person so to my nose, narcotic Venus, smells like many others white floral dominant fragrances. I would definitely sample the house before buying.

  • User found Narcotic Venus soapy and sold it after initial dislike

I was sincerely surprised at how much i disliked it, it's so heavily soapy... I listed for sale anyway, i've learned my lesson.

  • Orange color is normal, and the banana note comes from jasmine accords

Yep! My bottle is orange too! Tuberose scents frequently turn red/orange/pink depending on what’s in them. It could also look different in different lighting. As for the banana smell, I don’t pick that up, but I get mostly pear, tuberose, and jasmine. To make a jasmine accord you usually have to include something that smells like banana to make the scent more realistic. It’s one of those things where most people don’t realize jasmine has a banana note until they smell a jasmine accord without it and it falls flat. You’re probably just more sensitive to the banana note than I am, and maybe you’re more sensitive how it’s done in this fragrance than other jasmine fragrances. Pear notes can also smell a bit like banana sometimes. I just searched the reviews for Narcotic V on Fragrantica and banana is mentioned at least 8 times, so you’re not alone!
